I’m a theater artist, designer and technician. From Denver, CO, I have been living and working in Boston since 2014. When not designing lighting out in the world, I am the Multimedia Specialist for MIT’s Theater Arts section. I earned my M.F.A in Lighting Design from Boston University, studying with Mark Stanley and Jorge Arroyo; I earned my B.A. in Drama at Vassar College, with a focus on lighting design, dramaturgy and playwriting.
My work focuses on creating immersive experiences that engage and challenge an audience. By creating intensely designed environments, I explore how we can use live-performance to tell stories in unique and unexpected ways.
My current research explores how design can be used as a non-textual script for live performance and generating new work.
